About Galapagos Islands
Galapagos Islands Las Illasal Galapagos, Spanish pronunciations are part of the Republic of Ecuador, which is an archipelago of volcanic islands, which are located on both sides of the Western Ocean, 906 km 563 mi in the west of the continental Pacific Ocean in the center of the Pacific Ocean. Ecuador The islands are known for the large number of spatial species and were studied by Charles Darwin during the second visit to HMS Beagle. His comments and collections contributed to the establishment of Darwin's theory of evolution through natural selection.
The options for flying in the Galapagos are limited to two islands: San Cristobal San Cristobal Airport and Baltra Seymour Airport. Private aircrafts should use the ballot, because it is an overnight air-conditioned airport. Seymour Airport of Baltra was recently rebuilt 2012-2013 to accommodate large planes. The only way to go on a private or chartered ship was in 1969. In April 1969, Forrest Nelson's Hotel Galapagos did not offer any regular air service until the first ever organized tour.
Soon, other travel companies were brought to tour ships and boats, and local fishermen started changing their wooden boats to cruelize guests with brutality. These ships were the main source of the night in the Galapagos. Today, about 85 boats and ships are equipped for guests throughout the night. In 2006, the Baltistan-administered island was opened to limit the camp to overnight camp. Balta requires a permit by the military government to stay overnight on the beach.
