Mukdahan Rock Formations

Mukdahan Rock Formations is located in Phu Pha Thoep National Park which is also known as Mukdahan National Park. The park is situated in the Mekong valley. Phu Phan Mountains are located to the west of the province which are covered with deep forests. The mountainous park is famous for these unusual mushroom shaped rock formations. The area also houses some of the best landscapes which are eye catching. The core rock group stands just after the visitor centre. Enormous wildflowers flourish here during October and November. Geographically the park is formed with mountainous sandstone. Mountains are comprised of many uninterrupted balls. Range is located in the North - south similarly and situated at a distance of 4 miles from the Mekong River.

The park include Jimmy Cliff Gradually Phu Nang Hong, Phu airy mountain nest Phu Chom Nang Mak, Phu Tham Phra Phu main line, Phu Mak Yang Phu Concepts, and Jomtien is the Phu Si peak which is of about 170-420 meters height above sea level. The forest of this area basically includes dipterocarp forests and mixed community of woods. The mountain of this park area houses quite a good number of sources of many streams like Elephants, Huai Huai Bin Brook ships and Huai Huai Sing bulge play etc. The mountain slopes are rich in bamboo forest as the swap. Maximum regions are known for stony rock face and broad. Rock formations are simple superb and strange. One would like the wide stretch of rapids rocks down the Mekong River. A large stone courtyard is located on the side. In the dry season beauty of the sea gets recharged as different shapes of islands can be seen inside the sea. The food of this area is simply delicious. The menu include special Roast Suckling Pig which is distinctive of the local recipes.

There are quite a few important destinations along the park which one should not miss to visit, like Ho Kaeo Mukdahan Chaloem Phra Kiat Kanchanaphisek, Chaopho Chaofa Mung Mueang, Chaomae Song Nang Phi Nong Shrine, Wat Si Mongkhon Taiconcrete Buddha statue, Indochina Market, Wat Si Bun Rueang - Ban Tai, Hin Thoep Rocks, Lan Mutchalin, Namtok Wang Duean Ha, Phu Tham Phra, Pha Manao, Tham Fa Mue Daeng, Stone Age Shells where you can find conch like shells.
