This year’s National Tourism Award just got finished. Kerala and Madhya Pradesh tourism boards are particularly the big winners of this edition. Madhya Pradesh captured the first award of the evening for “Best State/Union Territory for Comprehensive Development of Tourism”, while Gujarat and Karnataka bagged the second and third position respectively. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board was also handed over few more awards in other categories which includes, the Heritage Walk of Bhopal winning the Best Heritage Walk award, the Best Innovative/Unique Tourism Project - Art Ichol and the Best Maintained and Disabled Friendly Monument - Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh.
On the other hand, Kerala Tourism Board a total number of six awards in the marketing category for states, which includes three in-state Tourism Promotion category and Publishing category, one for Most Innovative use of Information Technology, and the last one for Responsible Tourism category.
