1. Serial Blasts in Thailand Failed to Scare off Indian Tourists
According to the statements of leading tour operators and airlines, recent serial blasts in tourist hotspots of Thailand have failed to scare off Indian visitors who had booked trips to Thailand in the previous weekend. Air India officials state, “Due to the long weekend, we offered returned tickets to Bangkok starting from INR 16,000 only and we also got a huge response for this. There was no cancellation or re-booking from travelers.” SpiceJet officials also repeated the same.
Leading tour and travel operators are also confirmed that there was no reaction from travelers for the Thailand blast incident. Leading newspapers and news channels also confirmed the same result for the subject line. Travel operators got a huge increase in bookings for this long weekend which was expected to be flat down with chain cancellations after the serial blast incident, has failed at last to deter Indian tourists.
