Wat Chaloem Phra
About Wat Chaloem Phra
Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat is an imperial monastery and was constructed by the King Rama III, which he dedicated to his mother and grandparents who resided in this area. It is one of Lampang Provinces’s best kept secret. Many Thais in Lampang’s provincial capital have not even heard about this beautiful temple complex hidden away in the mountains. In fact, it is not even written on the official tourist maps making this temple a truly off the beaten path destination for adventurous travelers.
The temple has a combination of architecturally designed Thai and Chinese-style ubosot , which can be seen in an attractively peaceful temple compound.
The temple is situated at Soi Chaloem Phra Kiat 15, Tambon Bang Si Mueang, Nonthaburi. It is available to guests from 8.00 am- 5.00 pm every day.
